Soften recoil and speed follow-ups with our hand-fit, one-piece compensator barrel. Built and checked in-house for tight tolerances and out-of-the-box reliability.

Key Specs

  • Type: One-piece compensator permanently bonded/welded to the barrel (not removable)

  • Caliber: 9mm (38 super or addtional ports by request — note at checkout)

  • Length change: Comp adds ¾" to overall barrel length

  • Includes: DSC drop-in comp barrel + recoil spring (except CS variant, which does not include recoil spring)

Fit & Testing

  • Built & hand-fit to our shop models to ensure exceptional tolerance and lockup.

  • Each barrel is quality-checked and bullet-tested with Blazer Brass 115gr FMJ prior to shipping.

Finish & Extras

  • Barrel fluting available on the barrel hood only (add via Barrel Fluting & Surface Treatment page).

  • Barrel tags and polishing available via the Barrel Tag / Surface Treatment pages.

  • Want a different port pattern (double/triple) or 38 Super comp? Please note special requests in the Order Special Instructions.

Lead Time

  • Stainless: ~1-3 weeks, DLC/PVD/TIN: ~5-7 weeks

If you order a product from DSC, we will stand by our product and correct/fix an issue if it may arise. Please note, no returns are accepted on custom barrel services/products or used drop-in barrels.

Return shipping may be asked for or necessary for projects that require sending in completes rather than parts - this is to insure proper insurance in the return shipping process.

DSC Drop In Barrels

DSC barrels are designed for drop-in installation, in conjunction with factory counterparts such as factory slide stop and recoil - we continuously strive to improve the quality of our drop-in barrels as each style and variant is custom-made, hand fitted to shop models, and coated per order. 
Turnaround times are estimated to be approximately 5-7 weeks after the initial purchase, though they are subject to change depending on the situation. *Stainless variants may ship sooner, depending on the order. 
**In the unlikely event that you experience any issues with installing your barrel, we offer free custom fitting.

Mini-xc!

I wasn’t sure what to expect for a “drop in barrel” since most 2011 parts need to be fit for each gun. But fit was darn near perfect a touch more play than the factory staccato barrel but accuracy is great, had to rezero my optic because the comp changed point of impact but each group I shot at 15yd they were touching. performance wise it’s great ! I’ve never shot an xc but for a short time I contemplated selling the c2 and upgrading because I didn’t care for the recoil impulse. But now with the dcs comp barrel the c2 shoots every bit as soft as my ported Langdon 92xi.

DSC Comp Barrel Kit made a really good gun a pleasure to shoot

Many FTF & FTE during the first 250 rounds of 115gr. Zero problems with both JHP & FMJ 124gr from the get go. Since the first frustrating day the gun performs flawlessly with over 1,000.
I had to polish the barrel and everything is smooth like butter. Recoil improvement with the DSC Kit it’s 60%-70% over the factory barrel & spring. Because of that even the accuracy has been improved.
Now my BUL Armory UL shoots like a Big Gun. I enjoy shooting it and since I can practice with it for long periods it became my EDC.
