Met Dave at his shop to drop off my 5" Prodigy for a complete overhaul. I was expecting 4-5 weeks, however it showed up after less than 2 weeks. It ran flawlessly at the range a few days later. Very happy with their work and I'm planning to send in my 4.25" soon for the same work.
I sent my prodigy 5in in to do the ultimate overhaul package. Then a few days after they received it i added the v8 ports. Then a few days after that I asked if Dave had a spare aluminum grip he would want to part with, which he did, cheely aggressive. Then a few days after that I decide to do cerakote. Im happy they were able to understand what I wanted and add to execute it in such a terrific manner.
When I received my prodigy they did everything that I asked and the fit and finish of everything is wonderful. I took it out and put 500 flawless rounds through it. It was a good shooter before but now it shoots very flat, there is no slide crash anymore which was my ultimate goal to begin with. Everyone at DSC answered my questions in a timely manner and I couldn't have hoped for a better experience!
Was very happy to have found a spare barrel for my Prodigy. Took this to the range to test it out and it was money from the start. Very accurate at 10 yards. I’m awaiting my new suppressor so that I can see how will this barrel works with that. Definitely recommend this product.
I sent my 2k11 in to have a cheely grip fitted, dlc slide and frame, and trigger job with egw kit and red dirt trigger, the trigger is great sub 2.5 lbs, and the finish and fit of everything is perfect. I will be having them do similar work to my xc and xl staccatos. Picture included.

Ordered the Kimber 2k11 pro replacement barrel to use in my 2k11 Pro Comp so that I could have a comped and a non-comped version. This replacement barrel has been perfect… fit, finish and function are flawless.
Order one to replace my comp barrel so I can use my Prodigy in limited optics. Dropped right in no problem. I've shot 2 matches with it now. Very accurate.
My build was very custom but worth the wait.
This is how DSC upgraded my Tisas B9R Gen 2..
Before shipping the grip was already updated to the MJD dark patriot grip in FDE and EGW ignition parts were installed.
Upgrades done at DSC were
1. Island barrel upgrade with ports. I had the barrel Copper PVD coated
2. Tan multi cam cerakote on the slide, frame, magwell.
3. Upgraded trigger shoe to DSC x Red Dirt. Painted the shoe copper to match the PVD look. The feel of the trigger is way better now.
4. Copper PVD on grip screw, grip safety, slide release, guide rod, and any other small part I missed.
5. DPO optic job to mount a Vortex Defender XL
Now that I’ve been shooting it for a while I’m very impressed with Dave’s work. There’s a lot of time spent on getting everything working together. I have other 2011s with comps and this is the best one I’ll own. The weight of the island barrel adds a little more weight than my Tisas stock barrel adding more weight for a flatter shooting experience without being too front heavy. It’s like Dave can read my mind with how I want my pistol weight balance spread out. I’m getting tighter groups than my custom Girsan match X which already has tight groups. One last thing that justifies the wait time for the job is the fit of the slide now. I am amazed at how much tighter the slide fits now that you can compare the fit and finish against those higher end 2011 style pistols .
Had Dave weld up my LCI and then run the gamut on my 5 inch comped Prodigy.
Didn't do any porting since it is already comped, but he did the rest of the ultimate overhaul.
Trigger is glassy smooth with a supoer light 2.5 lb break. Shooting side by side with my Staccato XC, I'd say the Prodigy is now even or maybe a touch better than the XC, though that may be my brain liking the Prodigy+Overhaul price over the Staccato price. Groups and speed are identical to the XC, puts a 20 round magazine through the same jagged hole before you realize you've squeezed off a full mag. Thanks Dave!
As the title states, Dave welded up my LCI and now I don't have to clean my optic after 50 rounds.
I don't know who approved that design at SA, but if you are listening, you should do better.
Weld and blend looks factory, very smooth, you wouldn't know it was done if yo uweren't familiar with the gun. Thanks Dave!
The whole barrel works as it should and I had no issues dropping it into place on my gun. Brings muzzle flip down by roughly half of what it was. Its a great product but I dont know about it being 500 or so dollars. Its a nice price but a little high on price.

I think my Romulus is awesome. I had the comp opened and ported. I thought it was so awesome that I got an additional barrel thinking I could easily have a sight block made to run limited optics with it. Apparently the 1/2 x 28 TPI isn’t common among people looking for sight blocks and I couldn’t even pay to have one custom made. DSC produced one that not only looks food but functions even better. I even ordered the double comp because of how great it is. I may order the single comp to replace my OEM comp. The gun is dirty in the picture because I put it through it’s paces at the range, but just like all other products and services I’ve received from DSC to is on is A+. Thanks Dave
I bought this barrel for a TAC PRO with a ported barrel . I shoot bowling pins at a range fun event and it seemed the gun didn't have the same knock down power as my CZs shooting the same ammo . This truly drop in barrel made up the difference. To be completely honest this is my first ported gun . I prefer it with this new barrel, sure it has a little more recoil but is less ammo sensitive too. No change in accuracy. Great barrel at decent price with short wait time,

This is a very economical mod to help your gun rack easier and smoother. Atlas and other high end builders all do this, its well worth it.

I sent in my budget Staccato P for an optic cut and V-8 porting. I've been shooting in local gun competitions with it for about a year now. It shoots flat and I've never had any trouble at all with the red dot or mounting. The service was quick and they were so helpful! Highly recommend them!

Dave and his team of f awesome people have reversed crown and made all 3 of my staccatos barrels perfect. Not only are they more accurate, but fun to shoot as well.
