Complete your 1911/2011 build with a professionally coated magwell. Our magwell finishing service enhances durability, improves corrosion resistance, and adds a clean, custom look that ties your whole pistol together.

Finish Options:

  • Cerakote – durable and available in a wide range of colors

  • PVD / TiN / DLC – premium metallic surface treatments (steel magwells only)

  • Hard Chrome – bright, highly wear-resistant finish (steel magwells only)

  • Optional Polishing - only available for magwells made from steel

Details:

  • Service requires sending in your magwell

  • Turnaround time: approx. 1-3 weeks (Cerakote) / 5–7 weeks (PVD/TiN/DLC/Hard Chrome)

  • Compatible with both factory and aftermarket magwells

  • All finishes are subject to normal wear in high-friction areas

Important: PVD, TiN, DLC, and Hard Chrome coatings are only compatible with steel magwells. Aluminum magwells can be Cerakoted but are not eligible for these metallic finishes.

Shipping & Returns

If you order a product from DSC, we will stand by our product and correct/fix an issue if it may arise. Please note, no returns are accepted on custom barrel services/products or used drop-in barrels. Approved returns on new, unused, non-defective products may be subject to a 10% restocking fee.

Return shipping may be required for projects involving complete firearms rather than individual parts to ensure proper insurance coverage during the return shipping process.

DSC Drop In Barrels

DSC barrels are designed for drop-in installation, in conjunction with factory counterparts such as factory slide stop and recoil - we continuously strive to improve the quality of our drop-in barrels as each style and variant is custom-made, hand fitted to shop models, and coated per order. 
Turnaround times are estimated to be approximately 5-7 weeks after the initial purchase, though they are subject to change depending on the situation. *Stainless variants may ship sooner, depending on the order. 
**In the unlikely event that you experience any issues with installing your barrel, we offer free custom fitting.
