The DSC MR-1 Convertible Kit is a true drop-in compensator barrel system designed to reduce muzzle rise, improve shot-to-shot recovery, and give you a modular setup without permanent modification to your firearm.

This kit allows you to run a compensated setup or quickly convert back to a standard threaded barrel configuration whenever you choose — all while maintaining reliable cycling and match-grade accuracy.

No gunsmith fitting required.

Kit Includes

DSC Drop-In Threaded Barrel
Precision machined from high-grade steel with 1/2x28 threads. Manufactured and hand-fit to our shop models for true drop-in performance.

DSC MR-1 Aluminum Compensator
Lightweight Cerakoted aluminum compensator with directional top porting designed specifically for recoil control and flatter shooting.

Tuned Recoil Spring
Matched for compensated operation to ensure consistent, reliable cycling with or without the compensator installed.

Bonding Agent
Provides a secure, repeatable interface between the barrel and compensator when installed.

Thread Protector
Maintains thread integrity and a clean appearance when running without the compensator.

Shipping & Returns

If you order a product from DSC, we will stand by our product and correct/fix an issue if it may arise. Please note, no returns are accepted on custom barrel services/products or used drop-in barrels.

Return shipping may be asked for or necessary for projects that require sending in completes rather than parts - this is to insure proper insurance in the return shipping process.

DSC Drop In Barrels

DSC barrels are designed for drop-in installation, in conjunction with factory counterparts such as factory slide stop and recoil - we continuously strive to improve the quality of our drop-in barrels as each style and variant is custom-made, hand fitted to shop models, and coated per order. 
Turnaround times are estimated to be approximately 5-7 weeks after the initial purchase, though they are subject to change depending on the situation. *Stainless variants may ship sooner, depending on the order. 
**In the unlikely event that you experience any issues with installing your barrel, we offer free custom fitting.
