Hard Chrome is a true metal plating service and one of the most durable finishes available for slides. It provides excellent wear resistance, corrosion protection, and a clean, classic appearance that holds up to heavy use.
This service is available in two finish styles: Classic Matte or Brushed Flats (polished/shiny).
Material Requirement:
Your slide must be made of steel to be eligible for Hard Chrome plating.
Turnaround time is typically 6–8 weeks, beginning after we receive your slide or after any required machining is completed, depending on your order.

If you order a product from DSC, we will stand by our product and correct/fix an issue if it may arise. Please note, no returns are accepted on custom barrel services/products or used drop-in barrels.
Return shipping may be asked for or necessary for projects that require sending in completes rather than parts - this is to insure proper insurance in the return shipping process.
DSC Drop In Barrels
DSC barrels are designed for drop-in installation, in conjunction with factory counterparts such as factory slide stop and recoil - we continuously strive to improve the quality of our drop-in barrels as each style and variant is custom-made, hand fitted to shop models, and coated per order.
Turnaround times are estimated to be approximately 5-7 weeks after the initial purchase, though they are subject to change depending on the situation. *Stainless variants may ship sooner, depending on the order.
**In the unlikely event that you experience any issues with installing your barrel, we offer free custom fitting.
