The Overhaul & Fit Service covers the labor required when a firearm must be fully disassembled and properly reassembled for part installation, fitting, or refinishing services.

This is commonly used when customers send in grips, triggers, or internal components that require professional fitting, or when a build is being sent in for coating/finishing services that require complete teardown.

This is not a simple install — this is an armorer-level disassembly and reassembly service to ensure proper fit, function, and reliability.

What This Service Covers

  • Complete disassembly and reassembly of the build

  • Fitting and installation of customer-provided grips, triggers, or internals

  • Proper function check after reassembly

  • Required teardown/rebuild for coating or finishing services

Optional Add-On: Trigger Job

The optional Trigger Job is a full professional action tune and includes:

  • Geometry correction of the sear-to-hammer relationship

  • Sear spring replacement

  • Mainspring replacement

  • Stoning and polishing of all contact surfaces

  • Pre-travel and over-travel setup

  • Final pull weight adjustment

Compatibility

Available for 1911 and 2011 style builds only.

  • The lower/frame only Please include:

  • A copy of your driver’s license

Shipping & Returns

If you order a product from DSC, we will stand by our product and correct/fix an issue if it may arise. Please note, no returns are accepted on custom barrel services/products or used drop-in barrels.

Return shipping may be asked for or necessary for projects that require sending in completes rather than parts - this is to insure proper insurance in the return shipping process.

DSC Drop In Barrels

DSC barrels are designed for drop-in installation, in conjunction with factory counterparts such as factory slide stop and recoil - we continuously strive to improve the quality of our drop-in barrels as each style and variant is custom-made, hand fitted to shop models, and coated per order. 
Turnaround times are estimated to be approximately 5-7 weeks after the initial purchase, though they are subject to change depending on the situation. *Stainless variants may ship sooner, depending on the order. 
**In the unlikely event that you experience any issues with installing your barrel, we offer free custom fitting.
